Football and Cheer

What a great day for football and cheer. The kids spent a lot of time outside in the nice cool weather, but had to hold the scrimmage indoors because of the rain. The football game was intense and hard-fought, but good sportsmanship ruled the day. Lots of hugs and high fives and "good games" all around. The cheerleaders put on an impressive show with a jaw-dropping half-time display. You could actually hear the anticipation in the crowd as the girls moved into formation.

Thanks, campers, for a GREAT summer. Can't wait to see you all again next year!

Week Two - Basketball, Baseball & Softball, Tennis

This HOT HOT week has been loads of fun. Monday was basketball, and it was a great day. The kids went form station to station, picking up on important skills. Tuesday was baseball and softball, and in spite of the heat we got out onto the diamond for a bunch of drills and skills. Today is tennis day, and the kids are doing a combination of indoor and outdoor activities.

Tomorrow we are doing a group photo first thing in the morning, so have your kids wear their tee shirts or pinnies. Any parents from week one who are reading this are invited to send their kids in for the photo.

Day Five - Field Hockey, Cross Country, Track & Field

The kids took a walk around the cross country course, which took them through the woods and down by the creek. They played field hockey and did some really cool track & field events courtesy of Patrick, Prodige, and Ariel. It was the close of week one, and we very sadly said goodbye to some of our campers. But we are really excited to see some old friends again next week and welcome lots of new friends. RINES ON THREE......1 - 2 - 3 RINES!

Day Four - Drum Line

We had an absolutely perfect day today to do drum line. I didn't have video or audio of the gym when the kids all got their very own drums and drum sticks to bring home (you're welcome, parents) but believe me when I tell you it was LOUD. And rhythmic. And very, very cool.
